John Kirbow is an Army PSYOP vet with time in Iraq (via the Army) and Afghanistan (via the DoD), with an emphasis on understanding the nuances of culture, people, and human behavior. He speaks a variety of foreign languages including Arabic, Spanish, German, and Russian, and focuses on combating extremism and disinformation, drawing lessons from the warzone. 

 

Over the years, he has focused on how veterans with Special Operations and Civil Affairs backgrounds can find meaningful pathways to continue to serve here at home, adapting their skills to address some of our most pressing social issues, including how we respond to hate, radicalization, echo chambers, and propaganda.
